ROADS
If you wish to use a portable Variable Message Sign on any of Moree Plains Shires road, park or open space you require Moree Plains Shire Council and, in most cases, Road and Traffic Authority (RTA) approval. Council’s approval on classified roads is conditional on concurring approval from the RTA. You may also require planning approval if using a VMS on private property, in a park or open space
The Events and Road Closure Application Form is to be used for members of the public requesting to close a road for an event.

Applicants should also complete the Special Event Contingency Plan Form and submit this with their application.
Driveway Access Application Form
You must apply on this application form if you want to: Construct a new or structurally modify a private driveway on a public road. This includes construction of private property access over a public footpath, nature strip or roadside verge. Construct or modify kerb and gutter or footpath paving on a public road or road reserve. Approval is required from Council ONLY if a vehicular crossing falls within the Council road reserve.

Vehicular Crossing - Driveway Policy
To provide a standard policy for the management of public space openings and Restorations that will minimize Council’s risk exposure and limit damage to Council’s assets. When a plumber, builder or a member of the public needs to dig or under-bore in the road reservation.

Common reasons for a Road Opening Permit as follows:
• Service connections ( water, electricity, telephone, gas, sewer, etc)
 • Storm water connection
• Water main construction
• Sewer main construction
• Conduit and/or pit installations for public utilities.
• Generally all work undertaken on road reservation.
 
SPORT FORMS
Sportsfield Booking Package
The Sportsfield Booking Form is a package that enables users to make an applications for the use of Council's sportsfields
Sportsfield Line Marking Request Form
This form is to be used by all Sportsfield Users if they require additional line marking. It can also be used by private property owners (eg. schools) who require line marking on privately owned ovals.

A request for a sports field line marking booking MUST be made 2 weeks in advance to the requested time required.
The Park Booking Form is a package that enables users to make an applications for the use of Council's Parks.
 
MISCELLANEOUS FORMS
New Account Change of Address Notification Form for Rate Payers and Suppliers. Submit via email or print off and send in.
For members of the public wishing to install an access culvert and/or those wishing to purchase and/or install a property sign.
To be used by all applicants for ALL Rural Addressing Applications.
These included:
  • The determination of a new rural address for a property
  • The replacement of an exisiting rural address number post; or
  • Notification /change/correction of a property name
The Application for Burial Form is for Funeral Directors to complete at the time of booking a funeral. Members of the public can also use this form when carrying out private cemeremonies for ashes.
